Cuba has been a top destination on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. I dreamed of balmy nights infused with salsa music, azure waters, antique cars and cobbled streets lined with cigar smoking locals. Sitting at the airport, waiting to board my flight, I realised in all my excitement and with my fantasies firmly intact, I didn’t actually know what to expect.
